Cory Caruthers of Iowa is one of the country's leading bird experts, having won the North American Waterfowl champion title and five first place ribbons in the Masters Division at the World Taxidermy Championships. In this live seminar, Cory mounts a standing ringneck pheasant in a classic pose, looking over his back with the wings slightly extended. Cory clearly explains all the steps along the way as he shows the wiring and wrapping of the wings and legs, handling the skin, using an artificial head and neck with a commercial foam mannikin, mounting the tail, feather and skin adjustment, handling the eyelids and wattles, posing, and final grooming to produce a beautiful mount. Recorded live at the 2009 World Taxidermy Championships. Approximate running time: 2:13.
