To say that Dawayne Dewey of Wyoming is an expert on sheep mounts would be a vast understatment. He has won a record three World titles with sheep, including live sculpting with a bighorn sheep, Best in World Large Mammal with a Gobi Argali sheep, and the Master of Masters award with a Stone's sheep. In this live mounting demonstration, Dawayne prepares a shoulder mount sheep mannikin, attaches the horns and clays the bases, mounts the ears, sculpts the earbutts, sets the eyes, mounts the skin, tucks the lips, nose, and eyelids, sews the incision and grooms the mount. He also discusses tanning, reference, mannikin selection, and offers dozens of tips on how to produce exceptional sheep mounts. Recorded live at the 2009 World Taxidermy Championships. Approximate running time: 2:04.
