World Champion Large Mammal Taxidermist Phil Soucy of Montana is an undisputed master of mounting realistic mountain lions. His dramatic big cat taxidermy has graced the cover of BREAKTHROUGH magazine two times. In this live mounting demonstration, Phil prepares an open-mouth shoulder mount mannikin, altering and claying the face for a snarl, setting the eyes, mounting the skin, tucking the lips, nose, and eyelids, sewing the neck and grooming. He also discusses tanning, reference, mannikin alterations, form selection, ear setting, eye expression, and how to produce authentic cat expressions. Recorded live at the 2007 World Taxidermy Championships. Approximate running time: 2:05.
