Two-time World Champion Fish Taxidermist and two-time Master of Masters winner Mike Orthober of Egg Harbor, Wisconsin demonstrates his award-winning methods for mounting a strutting ruffed grouse. Starting with a grouse skin, Mike uses a commercial mannikin, foam neck material and the real skull to produce a beautiful strutting pose. In this live demonstration, he shows preparing the skin, removing and mounting the tail, claying the skull, wiring the legs and wings, eye setting, feather adjustment, and dozens of tips for handling this difficult specimen.
