Issue 113, Spring 2014

ON THE COVER
Alexander Sokolov

These European red foxes are by Alexander Sokolov from Khimki, Russia. Like last issues cover, it was one of 11 entries scoring 90 or above in the Medium-Small Mammal category at the 2013 World Taxidermy Championships®. There were 20 entries in this category alone, and they all exhibited Master-Division quality work, but none traveled as far as Alexander and his entries to compete for a World title. The two entries in the subcategory of Group mounts competing against the foxes were no less than the Best in World piglets by Chris Horn and Second in World wallabies by Ken Walker. This awesome competition can truly be a very humbling experience.
