Issue 106, Summer 2012

ON THE COVER Robert Stein

One of the great experiences when walking through a World Show Competition is seeing that entry that makes you stop every time you pass it. I must say there were quite a few of those at the 2012 WTC in Salzburg, and this very artistic entry, featured on our cover, was one of them. When you win a Best in World you have accomplished something thousands have strived for, but when you win a World Best of Show, you have done something only 17 others have accomplished since 1983. All World Show judges cast a final secret ballot from all the Best in World winners and this kea by Robert Stein of Berlin, Germany, was selected to win the Simon T. Blackshaw Judges' Choice Best of Show for the 2012 WTC in Salzburg, the 18th winner of this award.
