ON THE COVER:
Cover Artist: Kent Stryker
Cape Buffalo by Kent Stryker and Chuck Henry. First impressions are important, and for a magazine, that s the cover. We actually had five photos we were considering for this issue s cover, but as the issue evolved, it became clearer what it should be. Africa and African species are a big part of this issue. When the Pennsylvania Taxidermists Association sent us its show photos, I kept going back to an entry by Kent Stryker and Chuck Henry that took first place in the Collective Artists Division. After sending it to Ken Edwards, who does our cover designs, his rendering made the decision easy. Congratulation to Kent and Chuck for their superb artistry. The cape buffalo also placed second in the People s Choice voting.
