Cover Artist: Tim Gorenchan

This beautiful trio of Kokanee salmon was mounted and entered in the Master Division at the 2022 World Taxidermy Championships® by Tim Gorenchan of Escanaba, Michigan. The top fish scored 93.5, middle fish 92.5, and bottom fish 91. The top fish earned Tim the title of Second in World Cold Water Fish Skin Mount. Tim has previously won two Best in World titles in the skin mount categories. At the 2022 show Tim also won his third Best in World Title with a Best in World Reproduction of a plecostomus (a suckermouth catfish), which was featured in our Gallery of Wildlife Art in Issue #145, page 17. This issue features Tim’s Part 2 article, “A Complete Study on Fish Taxidermy” on pages 16-25.
