ON THE COVER: Hannah Stolz

This issue’s cover was a unanimous choice when publisher Larry Blomquist, editor/art director Kathy Blomquist, and photographer/advisor Ken Edwards all selected this African grey-crowned crane mounted by Hannah Stolz. Hannah captured three major awards at the National Taxidermists Association 2023 convention and national competition in Sioux Falls, South Dakota. The shows major award winners are featured in this issue. Hannah is 20 years old and started started doing taxidermy when she was 13. Her entry captured the Breakthrough Award for Judges’ Choice Best of Show.
