FALL ISSUE #135, BILL NEUMAN, COVER ARTIST: The Carl E. Akeley Award, selected as the best entry that represents taxidermy as a valid form of wildlife art, is one of the top awards given at the World Taxidermy Championships®. This award was introduced at the first World Taxidermy Championships® in 1983. The list of past winners reads like a Who’s-Who in taxidermy. The two bounding ibexes were high-scoring Master Division entries by Bill Neuman from Bismarck, ND, who is also a member of the award-winning staff at Dakota Taxidermy. Bill is also writing a series of articles starting in this issue. See this issue’s Gallery of Wildlife Art featuring the winners of the Akeley and Master of Masters Awards.
