On the Cover
Our cover artist for this issue is Timothy Gorenchan of Escanaba, Michigan. His beautiful composition, which featured his skin-mount of a pink salmon, was a show-stopper at the 2016 National Taxidermists Association convention and competition in June of this year. Tim’s entry at the Seven Springs Resort in Pennsylvania won the following awards: The Breakthrough Award for Judges’ Best of Show, The Polytranspar Award, National Champion Coldwater Fish (Skin Mount), Taxidermists’ Choice Best Fish Award, and Challenge of the Art Second Place. In achieving those awards, he captured a Best of Category with a score of 100. Do not be surprised if you see this fish and this man with more of his beautiful work at the World Championships in May 2017.
