ON THE COVER Lowell Shapley

When you view all of the great pieces that won Best in World titles at the 2011 WTC, you must consider what an awesome accomplishment it was that this composition of a keelbilled toucan by Lowell Shapley of Porter, Texas receive the majority of votes by the 22 judges as there choice for Best of Show. The final honor rest in the fact that this is the firs World Show winner to be bestowed the newly named Simon T. Blackshaw Award for Judges' Choice Best of Show. If you are wondering, the runner up was Phil Soucy's mountain lion that won Best in World Large Mammal.
