This classic composition of natural history is the artwork of Simon T. Blackshaw of the Netherlands. This confrontation of a warbler and adder was his entry at the 2009 World Taxidermy and Fish Carving Championships which earned Simon a second place in the Master of Master competition. More about Simon and his art work is featured in this issue's Gallery. In Issue 97 we featured Simon's article on how he handcrafted the foxglove flowers for this piece.
