Billy Ollie of Louisiana won the 2007 World Champion Waterfowl title with a flying King Eider. In this live demonstration, Billy shows his procedure for mounting flying waterfowl using a Harlequin duck as his specimen. Billy wires and wraps the wings and legs, uses a commercial mannikin, an artificial head and expertly poses the flying bird as he answers audience questions throughout the two-hour program. He illustrates some of the finer points of feather and plumage adjustments that make his flying birds come alive with realism. Recorded live at the 2009 World Taxidermy Championships. Approximate running time: 1:54.
