This will be the final part of my three-part reference articles on teal of the world. There are more species and subspecies, but I could not find reference for everyone that is listed in scientific reports. I have featured most that I feel might find their way to a taxidermy studio. In this study you will see photo reference of the following species:
- Marbled teal
- Puna teal
- Red-billed teal
- Ringed teal
- Silver teal
- Yellow-billed Teal

In April of 2019, the 18-member selection committee of the Taxidermy Hall of Fame narrowed down the list of six highly qualified nominees to the two people who became the latest inductees into the Taxidermy Hall of Fame. The class of 2019 was announced to the public during the awards banquet at the World Show in May, and the induction ceremony was held in conjunction with the National Taxidermists Association awards banquet in July in Sioux Falls, South Dakota. The new recipients of this honor were Cary Cochran of Ohio and Mike Orthober of Wisconsin. To subscribe or renew, call 800-783-7266 or order online at www.breakthroughmagazine.com.

Shipping isn’t just about boxing, crating, or loading a trailer. It goes back further and starts with a solid foundation, in our case, mammals with solid leg rods and solid neck supports to aid in strength during the transportation of the specimen. The first and most important step in tanning is to start with a hide or skin that has received proper care. A well cared-for hide will later eliminate bacteria growth and/or hair slippage. Proper salting should be done as soon as possible after the hide has been removed from the animal.
